In case you missed it, SOE recently announced some major changes coming to EverQuest, most of which involve assisting players in the activity of mass slaughtering NPC's. These changes finally hit the Test server last night. As with all Test patches, we were quick to run a parse on the new Test spells file and make a list of all the Spells & Skills changes (a full list can be found here). Since this is a VERY big change to the game we are all so passionate about, and many players still have many questions about what these changes mean for the characters they have grown to love so much over the years, we decided to spend some time and put together this organized, (hopefully) easy to understand write up of the changes for each class. Please remember, this is data from the Test server, it may be changed before it hits the Live servers. Feel free to comment here with your thoughts and opinions on these changes, but if you wish to give feedback about the changes please do so on this thread on the EQLive Forums.

Shadow Knights:

Item clickies:
Innoruuk's Voice (Epic 1.5). New Spell data for caster, new Spell data for group members buff.
Changes made: The buff will now fade after 800 lifetaps have been performed. Lifetaps will still work on ripostes, and on multiple mobs.

Innoruuk's Dark Blessing (Epic 2.0). New Spell data for caster, new Spell data for group members buff.
Changes made: The buff will now fade after 800 lifetaps have been performed. Lifetaps will still work on ripostes, and on multiple mobs.

Heartstiller's Mail Chestguard. New Spell data.
Changes made: The buff will now fade after 360 lifetaps have been performed. Lifetaps will still work on ripostes, and on multiple mobs.

Duskbringer's Plate Chestguard of the Hateful. New Spell data.
Changes made: The buff will now fade after 180 lifetaps have been performed. Lifetaps will still work on ripostes, and on multiple mobs.

Disciplines:
Leechcurse Discipline (Level 60). New Spell data.
Changes made: The Discipline will now fade after you have taken 350 damaging hits from NPC's. Lifetaps will still work on ripostes, and on multiple mobs.

AA's:
Mortal Coil. New Spell data.
Changes made: The buff now fades after you have been hit by NPC's a total of 1320 times. Also, the chance of this Spell triggering Mortal Residue has been increased from 5% to 8%.

Mortal Residue. New Spell data.
Changes made: The duration of this spell was increased from 16 ticks (1m 36s) to 28 ticks (2m 48s).

Helix of the Undying (Rank 1?). New Spell data.
Changes made: This AA previously slowed Undead targets up to 70%. It now slows Undead targets up to 50%


Clerics:

AA's:
Divine Retribution. New Spell data.
Changes made: The effect now fades after it has been triggered 40 times.

Spells:
Ward of the Divine (Level 50). New Spell data.
Changes made: The effect now fades after it has been triggered 120 times.

Ward of Rebuke (Level 57). New Spell data.
Changes made: The effect now fades after it has been triggered 120 times.

Ward of Vengeance (Level 61). New Spell data.
Changes made: The effect now fades after it has been triggered 120 times.

Ward of Retribution (Level 69). New Spell data.
Changes made: The effect now fades after it has been triggered 120 times.

Ward of Reprisal (Level 72). New Spell data.
Changes made: The effect now fades after it has been triggered 120 times.

Ward of Requital (Level 77). New Spell data.

Shining Rampart (Level 89). New Spell data.
Changes made: This spell went through a minor overhaul. The base spell still triggers the same stun + heal (Crippling Glare), but the buff will now fade after the stun + heal has been triggered 72 times. When Shining Rampart is cast upon a player, it also grants the player an additional new buff (Shining Defense). The Shining Defense buff will absorb 10% of Melee Damage until the player has been hit by NPC's 3200 times, at which point this buff fades.

Ward of Recrimination (Level 92). New Spell data.
Changes made: The effect now fades after it has been triggered 120 times.

Shining Armor (Level 94). New Spell data.
Changes made: This spell went through a minor overhaul. The base spell still triggers the same stun + heal (Crippling Glare), but the buff will now fade after the stun + heal has been triggered 72 times. When Shining Rampart is cast upon a player, it also grants the player an additional new buff (Shining Defense). The Shining Defense buff will absorb 10% of Melee Damage until the player has been hit by NPC's 3200 times, at which point this buff fades. The mana cost was increased from 500 to 1062.

Ward of Indictment (Level 97). New Spell data.
Changes made: The effect now fades after it has been triggered 120 times.

Shining Bastion (Level 99). New Spell data.
Changes made: This spell went through a minor overhaul. The base spell still triggers the same stun + heal (Crippling Glare), but the buff will now fade after the stun + heal has been triggered 72 times. When Shining Rampart is cast upon a player, it also grants the player an additional new buff (Shining Defense). Skin of the Reptile (Level 68). New Spell data.
Changes made: Max Hits increased from 12 to 72, Spell Duration increased from 10 ticks (1 minute) to 45 ticks (4 minutes 30 seconds), and Mana cost decreased from 858 to 512.

Scales of the Reptile (Level 79). New Spell data.
Changes made: Max Hits increased from 12 to 72, Spell Duration increased from 10 ticks (1 minute) to 45 ticks (4 minutes 30 seconds), and Mana cost decreased from 969 to 561.

Carapace of the Reptile (Level 84). New Spell data.
Changes made: Max Hits increased from 12 to 72, Spell Duration increased from 10 ticks (1 minute) to 45 ticks (4 minutes 30 seconds), and Mana cost decreased from 1047 to 658.

Shell of the Reptile (Level 89). New Spell data.
Changes made: Max Hits increased from 32 to 72, and Mana cost decreased from 1099 to 772.

Hide of the Reptile (Level 94). New Spell data.
