My favorite part of Ring of Scale was the return of CACTUSES! Seriously, I was so disappointed when there were none in Empires of Kunark.
I put my leet mspaint skills to work to capture a moment from my guilds cactus raid:

RoS was my return to EQ after an extended absence and my favorite part so far has been the chance to see some old favorite zones reimagined.
-
RoS! Short but sweet. The group content really went by far too fast, but the raid content is pretty solid. Tier 3 gets kind of tedious, but Tier 2 is mostly fun (and 2.1/2.3 are great for parsing!)
Also... for an RoS image... I was looking through my pictures folder and for some reason I have this:

This is definitely related, in some way, to the Ring of Scale expansion, but I could not tell you why or how.
-
Dunno much about it since I don't have it :) I hope to buy it when it comes on sale in Nov and am all ready to hit 106. It seems very raid related but I am sure there is plenty for this lone ranger to forage! Or new armor to make!
This is Aunt Fan (Fannie) and this is uncle Art = Fan Art. :-[

Hated the fact the final raid was possibly the easiest raid in the entire expansion. Anticlimactic.
-
Favorite part of RoS is howling stones. One of my all time fav zones!
-
I really missed OT. Some of the best and worst memories were made in OT 1.0. It is a treat to return to OT to battle out against new foes.
-
Its all about the tradeskills!
-
For our guild we've been able to be raiding current content for most of the year. While it's only been two raids , the diamonds have helped our gearing path greatly. So that's been a very nice bonus. Sathirs tomb is a very fun zone also, I just wish it was triple the size. All in all I've enjoyed this expansion very much.
-
I like Ring of Scale because it's more kunark and my favorite part is the VP item quests, can't go wrong with OT hammer 2.0.(Also bard ivu!)

Ring of Scale had dragons and sarnaks as the bad guys. What's not to like about that?
-
My favorite part of RoS is full sets of crafted gear that's actually decent again. Especially for alts, this is such a time saver over hunting down individual drops for all of them.
-
RoS has been a lot of fun. Glad tradeskills got some love and have enjoyed all the raids.
-
Favorite out of ROS? The gear: Jeweled Skull of Null and Cresta's earring.
-
I like expansions with dragons :) Can only wish the others (non-Talendor) had a bit more character
here's a picture of a happy dinosaur and his herbicial friends :)

I definitely loved the overall difficulty of some of the raids the most. I'm lookin' at you, 2-2!!! ... even though it gave me nightmares for months (see attached masterpiece)

Excited to see what gets thrown at us next~

I was SO close getting Atrocious group achievement done when it was pre-patch! Lol. So mad. It was fun exping in Howling Stone and Sathir's Tomb. Only two raid achievements reminds!
-
Ring of Scale what can I say good expansion camped a load of ore from the Golems so far and had a friend make me armour for my plate wearer's now I am on camping the mobs for silk in the overthere still hard at it at the moment but I will get there slowly.
-
I love the quest items from Veeshan's Peak.
My least favorite thing (along with Skyfire drake bombardments):

RoS is great, unless you want to make armor without doing EoK. Or a bunch of other stuff. But I did all that EoK stuff, so RoS is great.
-
Didnt get to raid much in RoS but i did enjoy the zones and sarnak
-
i like overthere just cause that was always a favorite zone of mine so fun to go back
-
Here's your cactus cupcakes!

(Not my own fanart. This post does not count but I figured you'd enjoy this picture.)

One of my favorite parts of RoS was bards actually having buttons to push besides Selo's Kick and having to actually think more than just being a /melody bot by having to alternate between Boastful Bellow and Vainglorious Shout. Also, the T2.3 Raid (Sathir Line) is really fun.
Here's some *amazing* fanart of my absolute favorite parts of RoS.... Bard double invis!!!

Raids that needed to be dumbed down after we beat em lol.
-
In the RoS expansion I liked how they made stuff more challenging again. It was a nice extension to EoK. VP is my favorite zone in the expansion, they really did a great job revamping it.
-
Really enjoyed seeing Kunark brought back - one of my fave OG expansions.
Conflagrant armor made through TS are especially sweet for non-gold members. I've felt that power ear slots (and others) have been more expensive to buy than is reasonable for years - conflagrant are worth the coin and priced reasonably.
-
ROS - Just reading all the drama about the first 2 zones being a pain. It is why we play the game, to have a challenge sometime.
-
I think there were a lot of frustrations surrounding RoS that sort of piled on top of each other that led to a general not so positive opinion of RoS: the Fell Foliage debacle, VP faction changes, the EoK blocker prerequisite, the armor progression being an extension of EoK, some previously successful guilds struggling with the new raid content — especially Drusella's Vault, the annoying drakes in SF, the DoTs cast by T1 mobs, and probably many other things along with server and instance instability to go with it.
However, overall, I don't think it was that bad of an expansion. There were many positives. After the success of EoK, I think many were hoping for a continuation of Kunark. RoS delivered on that and brought back many of the stomping grounds frequented by players in the earlier days. Cacti and Scorpikises made a return. It brought tradeskills back into the mix with a nice tradeskill quest for Crestra's earring. There were unique quested items from VP with ideas similar to that of the EoK ancients. Howling Stones was without a doubt my favorite zone in the expansion. Sathir's Tomb was a nice extension, but unfortunately, it was extremely tiny.
My favorite part of the expansion was probably that bards received some new stuff: Bellow and Shout changes, group double invis AA, intimidation, and I love the two new Blood Orchid Katanas with the Petal Step clickies (<3 leap!), which bards, of course, can use on the run. The skull of null clicky is nice one too. In addition to that, the missions were fun, the ST raids are a blast, and I got to enjoy some duration of fun running around VP with max ally faction.

Being a rogue...dragging my dead friends lifeless bodies through howling stones to sariths tomb ZI.
-
I really like how they did the missions for ros. instead of doing ha separate. also random loot from named including augs was nice. as well as getting the vp keys so people with alts didn't have to do entire progression multiple times. until they ruined vp with the faction then it was useless. but cool for people who did prog early.
-
I enjoyed traversing through VP and killing some drakes and dragons.
Also managed to level my warrior up and learn a bit about a new class, as well as setting up my own personal taunt key...
