it does matter where you kill the messangers. you get 2 updates fast in the valey North of the guards. but you can kill weeks there, you wont get third bag. searching this and reporting where to kill them.

third bag is the messenger that moves from entrance south to the spot where you get Task.

I've got a headache-saving tip:

I was running this recently for the first time and if one person in the group spoke to Great Sky Ocean, everyone's quest updated, but only one person could use the [news] prompt to get the next quest. I ran it all again and disbanded the group, which allowed each person to continue and prompt her for the next part of the quest.
