This mission sucks. That being said, it's not super complicated if you go into it with the correct mindset. I made a big long post on EQLive and am feeling lazy so I'm just going to quote it:

Quote
The only way I found to reliably beat this mission is to basically forget everything the previous 99 levels has taught you, and go back to the days of '5 minute zergling drone rush gg.'

Seriously. Get a good monk/bard, or tank, and have them click off invis, get the fastest movement they can and TRAIN everything around a catapult away. Then, the rest of the group burns down the catapult. Also, while you're at it, just stop worrying about death. Bind yourself in shards landing, run back when you die and do it over again. 96% rezzes recover enough exp that you'll be even with where you were before starting the quest, once you get the reward box. Once you get the catapults dead, you're golden. Have a monk, rogue, bard, or anyone decent at being sneaky (seriously, if you've been playing the game this long and don't know agro mechanics well enough to avoid agro, go back to headshotting in feerrott and leave the new stuff to those who do) run around and find tents they can solo without pulling agro.

Once tents and catapults are dead, just pull groups of mobs until you get the soldier updates. You don't want to pull the same groups, because they'll get stronger each time. Once you spawn the golems, just have someone invis-pull them (they''re not social with the mobs around them, only other golems) and enjoy your loot.

That's more or less the summary. What most people I've talked to about this mission do when they go into the mission is start clearing mobs, thinking they'll get the kill updates and then kill the catapults, and if that's your gameplan, by the time you get to the catapults the mobs are already powered up and will repeatedly tea-bag your corpse. You need to move fast and hard and go full burn on the catapults. If it takes 4-5 wipes to get them dead, do it. Once they die the mission is cake.

Also, the golems at the end aren't social with other mobs. They're social with eachother, but a long-range dispel and an invis run back to camp will get them easily. They will stop to stomp on any friendly NPCs running around, but that doesn't particually matter, it just makes them take longer to reach you. Moving mountains or Hates Attraction will get them there much faster.

Ballistas, catapults and tents do not aggro mobs around (may have been changed in a patch), so range fight is the best option (long, but safe).
You better start by destroying tents as they are in back lines, and if you need to cross enemy lines, you prefer them to be at lowaest level when aggroing.
Each time you kill an army member, he will respawn 5 min later with an additionnal experience level. Mobs will always con yellow at lvl 100, but will be toughter, mainly more HP. There are something like 16 levels (title appears in parenthesis under name), the 4 achievments linked to this mission are about killing some of this mobs (level 4, 8, 12 and 16 ?). A 5th ones is linked to killing final golems so they reach the ultimate rank (Supreme god killer).
For the chest looting you will need to bother with the golem pathing, as they will still be active, adding the fact they also respawn after 5 min.
