Where do you begin?

Once you decide to make a new house, where do you start? What's the first thing(s) you do? This just out of curiosity.

My first thing is tour other houses. Notice style of house, interior walls, outside stone, stucco or wood. Same inside…on the three room house some styles have the door on side some in the middle. Same choice on the one room house but only has one room with a loft and takes up less space on lot. Door is always in same place
You also pay Daily tax (rent) on House and lot. There are some houses that can be bought with Station Cash which when placed are tax free. Same with houses bought with Loyalty tokens (note cannot be sold back). The 3 room house and one room house which is less expensive and bought with plat can be sold back if you make a mistake. The other big thing is how many slots you can use for storage? On the different style of houses some give you more regular items. (use as mini bank). You can check that when you look at the tabs before you buy the house.
Then of course the plot sizes…there are three 90, 75, 60…you will find you use up space slots fast…especially if you are into detail, but the bigger the lot the more upkeep per day… so big choice. Those can be checked by the little raised stone on the foundation surrounding the lot.
And third the scenic beauty…lol…like you sits on your deck and drink coffee in the morning. Good luck, housing is a game in itself. Lot of trial and error and can be expensive that way. So Ask Questions but has brought me a lot of enjoyment in game.
