I took a break from EQ to work through some real life things during EoK, so didn't get to spend much time in it, except for the very end. It's definitely not one of my favorite expansions, and picking a favorite part of this expansion is honestly challenging.

I guess Lceanium was a good looking zone, with great art. Gates of Kor`sha was nice as well!

An expansion that was twice as big as the last one.

I was dealing with a lot of RL stuff when this expansion came out, so I was only able to do a few of the tier 1 raids before taking an extended break. Going back to catch up on progression wasn't easy, but gave me a nice challenge and opportunity to re-learn my rogue skills that had since gone rusty. I wiped many times to those stupid burnayi in SW...they really do come out of the walls in there!

EoK was the first expansion where I was able to participate in beta. I was really apprehensive when they announced the expansion being Kunark. I remember all the trees in old Kunark and it was always such a pain for me when boxing having the toons get stuck. I was pleasantly surprised when I went to beta and explored around. What a beautiful expansion and they did a great job thinning the trees. I really like EoK. The quest lines were great and I even like the EotD progression line. So much so that I have 12 toons with it completely done and 5 with most of it complete :)

I love the burynai npc in FM that you could get a free badger illusion for a quest. Frontier Mountains was also the home of the Ancients where the still useful Wurmslayer and Book of Obulous start.

I think the best thing about EoK were the dungeon zones. Chardok, Droga, and Labs were very challenging but also had very nice rewards. I literally LOL'd when I first clicked on the device in Chardok that caused the little hidden gnome camp to appear. It was a nice touch.

I liked the frontier mountains approach to chase items. And there were some pretty solid zones and raids. Chardok was excellent.

Returning to old-school zones with current content is somehow comfortable to us long-time players. Knowing zone layouts like the back of your hand makes things easier from Day One of an expansion. (I know it saves them a ton of effort, too.) I really like being able to headshot with my ranger alt in FM without having to fight with other people over spawns because of the size of the zone. I prefer large zones over tiny pick-enabled ones because of the sense of community you get in OOC.

I liked the newbie-friendly design and feel of Lceanium. It reminded me of the old days when you could run to the guards in starting cities. Daybreak should consider making similarly designed zones in the future.

I did not play EverQuest during original Kunark so it was nice to relive the expansion in a new light. I liked the modern twist to many of the old zones.

I was not fond of the merchants that seem to actually work a normal day and then disappear for the night or something. The chickens and giant yeti are cool. I liked the landscape with the marble city setting in the grass.

Chardok... I loved Chardok in its original form, and EoK Chardok was just as enjoyable for me.

Empire of kunark...

History alone was amazing... Bringing back some memories of the past with Chardok, Raids were alright, Alliance spells were alright, AA's were ok.

Overall, favorite part was probably going back to Chardok, Korsha was meh but seeing Atrebe sathir was pretty cool.

The Ancients and the rewards, and the ability to upgrade them through raid. The Kar'Zok models as well.

Empires of Kunark was great remember first heading to frontier Mountains and camping named for armour then heading down deep into chardok and camping The Bridge Keeper for that all important Tier 2 drops. Killed other named but I think killing the Keeper was more fun from a tanking point of view due to the amount of HPs the Keeper has.
