i do not know if it is a bug or not but working on this quest this morning. I kept getting the message You cannot use this item on this target when i tried to click the solution on a clayborn muddite. But it seems to work fine on the elementals and the other muddites i have tried it on

What's the secret to getting smasher to stand still for turn ins?

It seems to be bugged atm where he wont stand still after he repops and stuff, believe it will be fixed in next patch, until then you have to chase it to turn in :(
